Off Campus Instructions For Compustat Research Insight

Download the web add in for EXCEL (http://0-www.researchinsightweb.com.sally.sandiego.edu/download/riw_install.html) and follow these instructions:

1. Open Internet Explorer
2. Choose Tools – Internet Options
3. Click on the Connections tab
4. Click “Lan Settings”
5. Click the little box marked “Use Automatic Configuration Script”
6. In the address box enter http://sally.sandiego.edu:8080/proxy.pac
7. Click Okay.
8. Open Microsoft Excel
9. At the top of the screen click RIWeb and select Options.
10. Under Proxy Server select “Use IE proxy server (LAN) setting”
11. Under Proxy Server User Name and Password click in the box marked Enable
12. In the box marked Username enter your last name
13. In the box marked Password enter your 14 digit USD library barcode number..
14. Click “Apply”
15. Click on Version Info to test the connection
16. In Excel click on Report to begin downloading data
