MEDIA
COLLECTIONS
The Media Collections are near the entrance to the library, just past the Access Services counter and to the left. These contain collections of DVD’s, videocassettes, CD’s and CD-ROM’s. Newer titles are classified with Library of Congress call numbers and are in separate drawers from the older titles, which are classified with "VC" (Videocassette) and "CD" call numbers. CD’s are located on the left side of the cabinets, in front. DVD’s are on the right side, in front. The VHS tapes occupy the remaining drawers. DVD’s and videotapes have a 3-day checkout period for students and staff. Faculty and administrators have a 7-day checkout period. Fines for overdue items are $3 per day. CD’s are available for the same 28-day checkout period as books. Media items on reserve for classes are found at the Access Services counter with the other reserve items.
